Mayor Karachi Inaugurates Karachi Corner at KPC Library

KARACHI - The Karachi Press Club (KPC) has recently inaugurated the "Karachi Corner" at its library, a move that has been hailed as a commendable initiative by Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab. This new addition aims to serve as a valuable resource for researchers and individuals interested in the rich culture, literature, and history of Karachi.

During a media interaction following the inauguration, Mayor Wahab expressed his support for the establishment of similar libraries in various locations across the city, including Burns Garden, Bagh Ibne Qasim, and Kidney Hill. He announced a generous grant of ten million rupees for the Karachi Press Club, alongside plans to create a garden and a "Rokeri" in memory of his parents. This initiative reflects the Mayor's commitment to enhancing the city's cultural landscape.

Mayor Wahab emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and the journalist community. He believes that the "Karachi Corner" will significantly aid researchers studying the city, thereby preserving its cultural heritage and knowledge.
