The Punjab government transfers Muhammad Faisal to Lahore DIG, focusing on reducing street crime.

The Punjab government has made a significant move by transferring Sargodha District Police Officer Muhammad Faisal to the position of Lahore Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations). This decision comes following the transfer of Ali Nasir Rizvi. Muhammad Faisal, who began his career as an Assistant Sub Police in 2009, has a wealth of experience serving in various capacities within the police force.

Upon assuming his new role, Muhammad Faisal wasted no time in getting down to business. He visited the Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh in Lahore, where he was greeted with a traditional police salute. During a meeting to review the law and order situation, he emphasized the importance of taking practical measures to reduce street crime in the provincial metropolis. Faisal reiterated that the protection of lives and properties of the people remains the top priority for the police force. He also issued a stern warning to officials, stating that those found misusing their power would face consequences.

Meanwhile, the outgoing DIG Operations Lahore, Ali Nasir Rizvi, has left for Islamabad to assume the role of Inspector General (IG) Islamabad. Rizvi's appointment as IG Islamabad was officially announced on March 30th. With these changes in leadership within the police force, it is expected that both Lahore and Islamabad will witness a renewed focus on maintaining law and order for the benefit of the citizens.
