The collaboration between NITB and MoHR introduces an online app for differently-abled children, while MoHR's Helpline 1099 addresses human rights violations, showcasing a proactive approach towards inclusivity and justice.

In a significant development, the National Information Technology Board (NITB) and Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) have collaborated to introduce an online application aimed at connecting parents of differently-abled children with essential services and educational opportunities. The initiative, spearheaded by NITB, aims to integrate approximately 30,000 out-of-school differently-abled children into the educational mainstream by facilitating their access to suitable educational institutions near their residences through online applications.

The newly launched app will not only provide information about services and facilities available in DGSE's centers and FDE schools for inclusive education but also offer status updates on submitted applications, thereby assisting in bringing these children into the education system. Particularly beneficial for differently-abled children residing in slum areas of Islamabad, the app serves as a vital link to the world around them, fostering inclusivity and empowerment.

On another front, MoHR's Helpline 1099 has emerged as a crucial platform for addressing human rights violations, having received over 1.4 million calls since its inception. The helpline has provided assistance in over 5,500 relevant cases, offering legal support and referrals to concerned departments for victims of human rights violations. Notably, the helpline has catered to inquiries ranging from child protection, disability rights, governance-related issues, to land rights and legal assistance requests, underscoring its commitment to upholding fundamental rights and ensuring access to justice for all.

The collaborative efforts of NITB and MoHR in leveraging technology to support differently-abled children and the commendable work of MoHR's Helpline in safeguarding human rights reflect a proactive approach towards addressing societal challenges and promoting inclusivity and justice. These initiatives stand as beacons of hope, offering assistance and empowerment to those in need and reaffirming the government's commitment to upholding fundamental rights and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
