In a recent development, the Chairperson of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Directorate of Inspection and Monitoring, Evaluation and Feedback, Brigadier Babar Alauddin (retd), has underscored the urgent need for improved public services in Faisalabad. This initiative is part of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz's commitment to ensuring that all citizens have access to basic amenities. The focus is particularly on enhancing sewerage systems, water supply, afforestation, and the overall development of infrastructure.
During a special meeting held at the WASA head office, Brigadier Babar Alauddin emphasized that the challenges faced by Faisalabad are unique compared to other districts in Punjab. He called upon the heads of various public service agencies, including the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), and the Municipal Corporation, to take immediate action. The Chairperson insisted that these agencies must be more proactive in addressing the issues faced by the citizens.
Brigadier Babar Alauddin highlighted the importance of efficiency and performance in delivering prompt relief to the public. He proposed the activation of front desks within these institutions to streamline services. Additionally, he suggested the establishment of dedicated one-window desks to cater specifically to overseas issues, ensuring that all citizens, regardless of their location, receive the assistance they need.

As the city grapples with various public service challenges, the commitment from the Chief Minister’s office to prioritize these issues is a positive step forward. It is crucial for the relevant agencies to not only acknowledge the problems but also to implement effective solutions that will enhance the quality of life for all residents.
