Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expresses confidence in Congress party's performance post-elections, focusing on farmer welfare, inter-state cooperation, and administrative efficiency for state's progress.

After the recent Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed strong confidence in the Congress party's performance. Reddy predicts that Congress will secure 12-13 out of the 17 seats in the state, highlighting a decline in support for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) which may even lose deposits in 6-7 constituencies. He accused BRS members of backing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the elections.

Revanth Reddy, who also serves as the state party chief, specifically mentioned the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat, where he foresees a victory for Congress candidate D. Nagender by a margin of 20,000 votes. This seat is currently held by Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. Reddy dismissed any notion of a BJP wave in Telangana and projected the BJP to finish third in the Medak constituency.

Regarding the future of Hyderabad, Reddy emphasized that any potential changes, such as becoming a Union Territory or a second national capital, would not impact the state's revenues. He outlined the government's plans, including the establishment of the Farmers' Welfare Corporation to facilitate loans for farmers' debt relief. Reddy reiterated the government's commitment to waiving off farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh by August 15, a promise made during the election campaign.

Assuring support for farmers affected by unseasonal rains, Reddy pledged to prioritize the procurement of soaked paddy. He also expressed readiness to collaborate with the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to address inter-state issues, with Telangana's interests as his primary focus. With the election process concluded, Reddy stated that his attention would now shift entirely to administration.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's optimistic outlook on the Congress party's performance in Telangana reflects a strategic vision for the state's future. His emphasis on farmer welfare, inter-state cooperation, and administrative efficiency underscores a commitment to governance and development. As Telangana navigates post-election dynamics, Reddy's leadership aims to steer the state towards progress and prosperity.
