The Department of Transport, Government of Sindh has officially launched the Orange Line Extension, a project that integrates the Orange Line and Green Line BRT systems in Karachi. This initiative aims to improve public transportation services in the city, providing a more convenient and efficient travel experience for passengers.

The Orange Line Extension was inaugurated by Senior Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, at the Orange Line Depot in Karachi. The merger of the Orange Line and Green Line systems will allow seamless connectivity between the two lines, enabling passengers to transfer easily between buses. This integration is expected to enhance travel convenience and accessibility for commuters in Karachi.

Under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh government is dedicated to offering efficient transport services to the public. The introduction of automatic fare payment cards and the upcoming full operation of the system within a month will further streamline the commuting experience for passengers.

Minister Memon also addressed the issue of petrol price fluctuations, expressing support for the federal government's decision to reduce prices. He assured that the fares of the People’s Bus Service will remain unchanged despite fuel cost variations. Additionally, he criticized the actions of the KP government, citing them as shortsighted and lacking maturity.

Furthermore, Minister Memon raised concerns about the international agenda influencing the PTI party and questioned the motives behind certain political decisions. He called for justice for past injustices, including the judicial killing of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and the imprisonment of President Asif Ali Zardari without valid charges.

The Orange Line Extension project signifies a significant step towards improving public transportation in Karachi, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
