Umar Ayub challenges FIA's inquiry into Imran Khan's social media post, sparking a debate on freedom of expression and accountability. FIA summons top PTI members for questioning over the controversial video.

In response to a notice from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) regarding a controversial video shared on Imran Khan's social media account, Umar Ayub, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, has raised concerns and demanded a copy of the Hamoodur Rehman Commission report. Ayub criticized the vague and illegal nature of the FIA's questions and highlighted the availability of the report in the Cabinet Division, emphasizing the need for transparency.

Ayub accused the FIA of targeting PTI leadership out of revenge and requested the commission report to prepare his response. The FIA has summoned top PTI members, including Ayub, Barrister Gohar Khan, and Raoof Hassan, for questioning regarding the controversial post that allegedly incited public unrest by referencing the Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report.

The FIA's Cyber Wing is actively investigating the unauthorized use of Imran Khan's social media account to share the contentious video, which raised historical questions about the roles of General Yahya Khan and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the 1971 events. Ayub plans to challenge the FIA notice in Parliament, a move that has already sparked legal proceedings in the Islamabad High Court.

The unfolding events surrounding the FIA inquiry into Imran Khan's social media post have ignited a debate on freedom of expression, accountability, and the responsible use of online platforms. As the investigation progresses, it remains crucial for all parties involved to uphold legal standards and ensure a fair and transparent resolution to the controversy.
