PTI leader Omar Ayub Khan announces protest movement against alleged election rigging and for Constitution restoration, emphasizing electoral transparency and constitutional adherence.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub Khan announced that the party, along with a 'grand opposition alliance', will initiate a protest movement against the alleged rigging in the February 8 general elections and for the 'restoration of the Constitution and democracy' in the country. The movement is set to begin in Balochistan, with plans to expand nationwide.

The PTI, founded by Imran Khan, believes that the election results were manipulated in favor of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). As part of the protest movement, the PTI will hold its first rally in Pishin district. The opposition alliance, including PTI and other parties, aims to uphold the Constitution and the law.

Addressing the media, Ayub emphasized the importance of respecting the Constitution for the country's development and investment opportunities. He highlighted the impact of political changes on projects like the Saudi investment in a solar energy project in Balochistan.

Furthermore, Ayub raised concerns over the treatment of PTI workers following the May 9 riots, stating that over 200 cases were filed against the party's founder. He reiterated the PTI's commitment to upholding the supremacy of the constitution and law, questioning the fairness of recent Senate elections.

In conclusion, the PTI's protest movement signals a strong opposition stance against the current government, with a focus on electoral transparency and constitutional adherence.
