The FIA Cyber Crime Wing Islamabad is enhancing its capabilities through AI training to manage a high volume of cybercrime complaints efficiently.

The FIA Cyber Crime Wing Islamabad is actively working on improving the capabilities of its team members to better address the approximately 92,000 complaints it receives annually. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources and manpower, the department remains committed to fulfilling its duties effectively.

Recently, Additional Director General Waqar Ud Din Syed initiated the enrollment of several officers from various regions of Pakistan in an artificial intelligence training program conducted by Digital Waseb and NUST University Islamabad. This training aims to equip the officers with advanced skills to enhance their complaint management processes.

During a meeting with Dr. Usman Khan, the CEO of Digital Waseb, Deputy Director Mehmood-ul-Hassan emphasized the need for efficient processing of the high volume of complaints received nationwide. To address this challenge, the cyber crime wing is planning to implement a project that utilizes artificial intelligence to prioritize urgent complaints and filter out irrelevant ones, ensuring timely and effective actions.
