Authorities in Mexico have confirmed that three bodies, believed to be those of two Australian brothers and an American, who went missing during a surfing trip, were discovered with bullet wounds to the head. The victims, identified as Australians Callum and Jake Robinson, and their American friend Jack Carter, were found in a cliff-top shaft in Baja California, Mexico.

State prosecutor Maria Elena Andrade revealed that the bodies showed signs of gunshot wounds, indicating a violent end to their disappearance. The motive behind the crime is suspected to be the attempted theft of their pick-up truck. Relatives of the missing tourists have arrived in Mexico to assist in the identification process.

Investigators noted that the bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition, making identification challenging. However, based on clothing and physical characteristics, authorities are highly confident that the bodies belong to the missing men.

Three suspects, including a woman, have been apprehended in connection with the case. The authorities used a pulley system to retrieve the bodies from the shaft, highlighting the grim nature of the discovery.
