China and Pakistan have formed a digital education alliance to enhance skills development in Pakistan, transforming the TVET system and bridging the digital skills gap.

China and Pakistan have joined forces to establish a groundbreaking digital education alliance with the aim of enhancing skills development in Pakistan. This alliance, formed by ITMC Technology Co., Ltd., UNI International, and over 160 technical and vocational education and training (TVET) partners from both countries, is set to transform Pakistan's TVET system into a leading digital education hub.

The announcement of this pivotal partnership took place during the International Digital Skills Exchange Seminar of the 2nd Belt and Road International Skills Competition in Chongqing. More than 200 experts from China and Pakistan gathered at the event to underscore the significance of narrowing the digital skills gap in Pakistan and reshaping the educational landscape.

Heading the alliance from Pakistan is Rao Rashid Ali, Director General of Punjab TEVTA, who envisions the transformative potential of this collaboration for education in the country. On the Chinese front, Professor Xue Maoyun, former president of Jiangsu Commerce Vocational and Technical College, leads as the chairman of the alliance, emphasizing the mutual objective of advancing digital education.

The seminar also saw the presence of Muhammad Omar, Counsellor and Head of Chancery at the Pakistani Embassy in China, and Afifa Shajia Awais, Counsellor of Education. Omar commended China's proficiency in talent transformation and expressed hope for Pakistan to leverage China's expertise in digital education.

The digital education alliance between China and Pakistan marks a significant milestone in the realm of skills development and education. With a shared commitment to bridging the digital skills gap and fostering innovation in TVET, this partnership holds promise for a brighter future for education in Pakistan.
