Muslims in the United States marked Eid-ul-Fitr with prayers for Palestine and Pakistan. Celebrations in Texas were vibrant, but marred by violence in Pennsylvania.

Muslims in the United States celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with prayers for the people of Palestine and for the progress of Pakistan. The occasion, marking the end of Ramadan, was observed with great enthusiasm in Texas, with Eid prayers held in numerous mosques across cities like Houston and Dallas.

Leading the prayers were Mufti Dr Abdul Wahid at Darul Uloom Houston and Allama Babar Rahmani at Carlton's Madina mosque. A significant turnout, including women and children, participated in Eid prayers at various mosques such as Epic Irving, Masjid Valley Ranch, and Dar El Eman Arlington. Over 60 mosques in Dale country also organized Eid prayers.

Following the prayers, the tradition of embracing and greeting one another was observed, with some individuals visiting cemeteries to offer prayers at the graves of their loved ones. Public and private offices, as well as educational institutions in Texas, granted holidays to Muslim employees and students in honor of Eid.

However, Eid celebrations in Pennsylvania were marred by violence when a firing incident occurred at Clara Muhammad Square park in Philadelphia. Two groups exchanged fire in the presence of around 1,000 celebrants, resulting in injuries to three individuals. The police have detained five suspects and seized five weapons from the scene.
