The upcoming seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) is scheduled to take place in Shanghai this November. This event serves as a crucial platform for international companies looking to expand their presence in the Chinese market. With participation from over 800 companies representing 60+ countries, the exhibition space is set to exceed 270,000 square meters, showcasing a wide array of industries.

Since its inception, the CIIE has attracted participants from 173 countries and regions, resulting in transactions totaling $424.23 billion. This expo offers foreign businesses a valuable opportunity to engage with Chinese consumers and strengthen their market position.

In 2023, the American Food and Agriculture Pavilion debuted at the CIIE, highlighting the expo's role in fostering bilateral trade relationships. Featuring 17 exhibitors across 200 square meters, the pavilion showcased a diverse range of American agricultural products, including meats and wines.

Moreover, the 2023 CIIE hosted 72 countries and international organizations at the Country Exhibition, showcasing their technological innovations, cultural heritage, and artistic accomplishments. The Finnish Pavilion, for instance, featured 17 companies specializing in lactose-free dairy products.

The sixth Hongqiao Forum in 2023 witnessed a record attendance of over 8,000 individuals, with 22 subforums covering topics such as financial reform, digital governance, and green investment. The forum included symposiums and salons with contributions from UN representatives, government officials, scholars, and industry leaders to amplify its impact.

As the seventh CIIE approaches, global roadshows are being conducted in various countries to promote the event and its supportive policies. This year's list of exhibitors comprises 252 companies specializing in food, automobiles, green energy, artificial intelligence, chemicals, electronics, and consumer goods.
