Airlink Communication Ltd, a prominent player in Pakistan's technology industry, recently hosted the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, at its cutting-edge smartphone manufacturing facility in Lahore. The facility, in collaboration with global giants Xiaomi and Tecno, showcases Airlink's dedication to innovation and gender inclusivity, with women constituting 25 to 30% of the workforce.

Impressed by the technological advancements and commitment to gender diversity, Minister Khawaja emphasized the government's support for the smartphone manufacturing sector. She highlighted the industry's potential in driving economic growth and job creation, aiming to position Pakistan as a leading exporter of technology products globally.

Airlink's Group CEO, Muzzaffar H Piracha, echoed the vision of technology transfer and Pakistan's emergence as a technological hub. With the domestic smartphone industry already capturing 97% of the market share, Airlink envisions significant foreign exchange earnings through smartphone exports, potentially reaching 10 billion USD. The company's expansion plans include venturing into Electric Vehicles (EV) and advancing Internet of Things (IoT) products, further solidifying Pakistan's technological footprint.

Investments in Xiaomi LED production and upcoming production commencement signify Airlink's strategic partnerships and commitment to driving technological progress. By focusing on innovation and community empowerment, Airlink continues to pave the way for a tech-driven future in Pakistan.
