Pakistan Petroleum Limited achieves significant production gains through strategic enhancements, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Pakistan's energy future.
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced a significant increase in hydrocarbon production from its wells across the country. The exploration and production (E&P) company shared details of its production enhancement between October 2023 and March 2024, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring a secure energy future for Pakistan.
During this period, PPL successfully implemented various production enhancement strategies, leveraging technical analysis, rig-less techniques, and surface system optimization. This approach led to a notable production gain of approximately 17 MMscfd gas and 530 barrels per day of oil/condensate.
One of the key achievements highlighted by PPL was the installation of an artificial lift system at Adhi South X-1 and Adhi South-5 wells in the Pothwar region, resulting in an additional 450 barrels per day of oil condensate. Furthermore, the company increased gas production by 5 MMscfd in Fazl X-1 and Adhi-19 wells by addressing scale build-up issues.
PPL's efforts to maximize domestic hydrocarbon production reflect its dedication to supporting Pakistan's energy outlook. By optimizing existing fields and implementing cost-effective solutions, the company has demonstrated its commitment to driving growth in the sector.
Pakistan Petroleum Limited's recent production enhancements mark a significant milestone in the country's energy landscape. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, PPL continues to play a crucial role in meeting Pakistan's energy needs and ensuring a sustainable energy future.
