Pakistan achieves a significant milestone in rice exports, setting new records by exporting 5.087 million tonnes valued at $3.283 billion, showcasing agricultural prowess and global market presence.

Pakistan has made remarkable progress in its rice exports, achieving a significant milestone in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. The country has successfully exported a record-breaking 5.087 million tonnes of rice, with a total value of $3.283 billion. This achievement represents an impressive 80% increase compared to the previous fiscal year, where exports stood at $1.822 billion for 3.270 million tonnes.

One of the key highlights of this success is the substantial growth in non-Basmati rice shipments, a vital component of Pakistan's export industry. In April 2024 alone, Pakistan exported 463,035 metric tonnes of non-Basmati rice, valued at $274.815 million. This demonstrates the continued strength and competitiveness of Pakistan's rice export sector.

Pakistan's record-breaking performance in rice exports not only showcases the country's agricultural prowess but also underlines its growing presence in the global market. This achievement not only boosts the economy but also highlights Pakistan's potential as a key player in the international trade of agricultural products.
