Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir celebrates Eid with frontline troops

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir marked the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr by visiting troops at the frontline in Miran Shah and Spinwam area of North Waziristan. Commencing the day with Eid prayers, he prayed for the enduring stability and prosperity of Pakistan. General Munir expressed his heartfelt Eid greetings to the troops, lauding their unwavering dedication and service to the nation.

During the visit, the Army Chief received a detailed briefing on operational readiness and the current security situation, with a particular emphasis on border security measures along the Pak-Afghan Border. He recognized the monumental efforts of the troops in promoting peace and stability, attributing these achievements to the sacrifices of martyrs that have paved the way for a secure environment conducive to socio-economic development, especially in the newly merged districts and across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Highlighting the detrimental impact of terrorism on development, General Syed Asim Munir stressed the collective responsibility to protect the hard-earned peace. He urged all stakeholders, particularly the local population, to remain vigilant against any elements aiming to disrupt the region's stability. Earlier in the day, General Munir was warmly welcomed by Commander Peshawar Corps upon his arrival. The Eid celebration with the troops not only showcased the Army Chief's solidarity with the frontline forces but also underscored the ongoing commitment of the military to safeguarding Pakistan's security and promoting peace in the region.
