Security forces in Pakistan conduct successful anti-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the elimination of terrorists and martyrdom of soldiers. COAS General Syed Asim Munir praises troops' bravery and vows to combat extremism.

Security forces in Pakistan recently carried out a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Peshawar, Tank, and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) province, resulting in the elimination of at least 23 terrorists. These operations, aimed at combating terrorism, unfortunately also led to the martyrdom of seven soldiers of the Pakistan Army.

On May 27, an operation in Tank district resulted in the elimination of ten terrorists. Another operation in the Bagh area of Khyber district on the same day led to the neutralization of seven terrorists, with two others injured. Tragically, five soldiers were martyred during this operation.

During these operations, security forces recovered a significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives. In a previous operation on May 26 in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar, six terrorists were killed, and a captain and a soldier of the Pakistan Army were martyred.

The martyred soldiers were honored with full military rites in their hometowns. The security forces continue to conduct sanitization operations to root out any remaining terrorists in the area.

The recent operations in K-P resulted in the martyrdom of five soldiers, including Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar, Sepoy Taimoor Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sageer, and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin. These brave soldiers made significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir attended the funeral prayers of the martyred soldiers and visited the injured troops at CMH Peshawar. COAS praised the troops' morale and reiterated the nation's determination to combat terrorism.

Earlier in May, security forces successfully conducted an operation in North Waziristan district, resulting in the death of six terrorists and the destruction of their hideout.

The recent operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa demonstrate the ongoing efforts of security forces to eliminate terrorist threats in the region. While the sacrifices of the martyred soldiers are deeply mourned, their bravery and dedication in the face of danger serve as a reminder of the ongoing battle against terrorism. The nation stands united in its resolve to combat extremism and ensure peace and security for all its citizens.
