COAS General Asim Munir Commemorates Eid ul Adha Sacrifices

On the occasion of Eid ul Adha, COAS General Asim Munir highlighted the sacrifices of martyrs in safeguarding the nation. He expressed his pride in commemorating such events while on duty, ensuring the security of the country. During his visit to the Line of Control (LoC) in the Haji Pir sector, the COAS joined officers and soldiers in offering Eid prayers, praying for peace and prosperity in Pakistan. He commended the soldiers for their unwavering dedication, high spirits, and commitment to defending the nation.

General Munir reiterated Pakistan's firm stance on the situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), denouncing India's oppression and atrocities against Kashmiris. He criticized India's efforts to disguise its aggression through false propaganda and provocations against Pakistan, including the fabrication of false flag operations. The COAS affirmed Pakistan's support for regional peace while cautioning against any provocation or violation of Pakistan's sovereignty, promising a swift and resolute response.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm Eid greetings to the nation and Muslims globally, expressing solidarity with Palestinians and Kashmiris enduring foreign occupation. President Asif Ali Zardari urged the nation to uphold the values of brotherhood, sacrifice, and selflessness during this festive period.
