In a heartwarming gesture, 128 victims of the Jaranwala tragedy were recently provided with essential items to help them rebuild their lives. The aid, which included utensils, beds, clothes, school bags, stationery for children, 15 rickshaws, and 13 motorcycles for daily transportation, was distributed during a ceremony at Bishop House Railway Road. The generous donation came from the members of 'Church in Need', a Catholic organization based in Germany.

Bishop Dr. Andreas Rahmat, leading the distribution event, expressed his gratitude to Church in Need Germany for their support. He mentioned that since the onset of the Jaranwala tragedy, efforts have been ongoing to address the victims' basic needs such as food, shelter, legal assistance, and ensuring their safety.

Meanwhile, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a gas supply suspension schedule for maintenance and repair work near Abdullah Pur Flyover. The gas supply will be halted for 12 hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in various areas including Daewoo Road, Jail Road, Civil Line area, and several others on May 2nd.

Consumers in the affected areas are advised to turn off their gas appliances during the suspension period to prevent any potential accidents once the gas supply is restored.

The combined efforts of organizations like Church in Need Germany and timely maintenance work by SNGPL reflect a commitment to supporting communities in need and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
