Dr. Ataur Rehman announces comprehensive measures to enhance Pakistani pilgrims' Hajj experience, focusing on safety, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment.

The Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, Dr. Ataur Rehman, has revealed that approximately 68,800 Pakistani pilgrims are set to embark on the annual Hajj pilgrimage this year under the government's regular scheme. To ensure a seamless and comfortable journey, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has implemented various measures.

Dr. Ataur Rehman disclosed that the pilgrims will be divided, with 34,300 heading to Madina and 34,500 to Jeddah before proceeding to Makkah. The pre-Hajj flight operation is slated to conclude on June 9. Additionally, arrangements have been made for train station tickets during the Mashair days for travel from Mina to Arafat, Muzdalifa, and Jamarat.

This year, 63% of pilgrims will be accommodated in Old Mina and 37% in New Mina, strategically located along main routes and train stations. In Madinah, all pilgrims will be housed in Markazia. The ministry has introduced a 'Short Haj' program lasting 20 to 25 days for 16,000 pilgrims, offering an enhanced experience albeit with slightly higher costs due to airline expenses.

To facilitate communication, the government has launched the HajApp, mandatory for pilgrims for seamless information dissemination. Standardized bags of the same size and color will be distributed for easy identification. The selection of Haj Assistants has been based on transparency and merit, with an app to monitor their performance.

Improvements have been made to the weekly food menu in Makkah, focusing on protein-rich meals like beef, chicken, and eggs. Pilgrims under private schemes will benefit from the 'Road to Makkah' facility at Karachi and Islamabad airports, enhancing their overall experience.

The comprehensive arrangements announced by Dr. Ataur Rehman aim to provide Pakistani pilgrims with a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience. With a focus on convenience, communication, and enhanced services, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is dedicated to ensuring a successful pilgrimage for all participants.
