Brothers killed in targeted shooting in Karachi

Two brothers, Sajid Aurangzeb and Omair Aurangzeb, tragically lost their lives in a targeted shooting incident near Guru Mandir area in Karachi. The attack, suspected to be a case of target killing, occurred when a group of six gunmen on motorcycles ambushed the victims' car as they were en route to the city court. The police found 18 bullet casings at the crime scene, indicating the severity of the attack which claimed the lives of the two brothers.

The police investigation revealed that a 9mm pistol was used in the firing, leading to the fatal injuries sustained by the victims. Two other individuals who were in the car at the time of the attack were also injured and rushed to a private hospital. Tragically, despite medical efforts, two of the injured individuals succumbed to their injuries, while the remaining two are currently in critical condition.

The motive behind the attack is believed to stem from personal enmity, prompting the authorities to intensify efforts to locate the perpetrators. The police are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage for potential leads that could aid in identifying and apprehending the culprits responsible for this heinous crime.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has strongly urged for swift action to be taken in capturing the suspects, emphasizing the gravity of such incidents occurring within the heart of the city. The community is left in shock and mourning over the loss of lives in this senseless act of violence, highlighting the pressing need for enhanced security measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
