The Capital Development Authority in Islamabad successfully disposes of over 2500 tons of animal waste during Eid ul Azha, achieving Zero Waste status. Sanitation efforts led by CDA Chairman and Interior Minister contribute to a cleaner environment in the city.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has efficiently handled the disposal of a significant amount of animal waste during the initial days of Eid ul Azha. The cleanup operation conducted by CDA resulted in the successful disposal of 144,688 animal waste items, including 45,688 animal offals and waste, as well as 757.767 tons of other waste on the second day of the festival. The Chairman of CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, reported that a total of 2507.676 tons of animal waste were effectively disposed of, demonstrating the authority's commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the city.

Under the supervision of CDA, sanitation teams are actively monitoring various areas such as green belts, open spaces, drains, and forest regions across Islamabad to ensure cleanliness. Special emphasis has been placed on washing communal altars and markets to uphold citywide cleanliness standards and manage animal waste disposal effectively. Through a collaborative effort involving CDA, Islamabad Police, and Safe City, Islamabad has achieved Zero Waste status, marking a significant milestone in the city's sanitation efforts.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa have praised the dedicated teamwork of the sanitation teams and authorities for their exceptional efforts in achieving the Zero Waste status in the capital city. Their commitment to cleanliness and efficient waste management has contributed to a cleaner and healthier environment for all residents and visitors of Islamabad.
