The Capital Development Authority in Islamabad launches 30 electric buses on specific routes, emphasizing sustainability and inclusivity in public transportation for all citizens.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to launch its first fleet of 30 electric buses in the federal capital, Islamabad. These buses will commence operations on two specific routes, marking a significant step towards sustainable and eco-friendly public transportation in the city. The decision to introduce these electric buses was made during a meeting at the CDA headquarters, led by Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

One of the designated routes, feeder route 7, will connect NUST to PIMPS Hospital, while feeder route 4 will link PIMS to Bari Imam/Quaid-e-Azam University. The bus service is designed to operate from 6 AM to 10 PM, ensuring convenient access for the public throughout the day.

During the meeting, Chairman CDA stressed the importance of establishing a subsidy program to support specific groups, including disabled individuals and students. This initiative aims to promote equal access to the electric bus service and other essential facilities for all citizens, emphasizing inclusivity and accessibility.

With a focus on sustainability and inclusivity, the CDA's initiative is poised to benefit residents and commuters alike. By prioritizing eco-friendly transport options and ensuring equitable access for all, Islamabad is taking a progressive step towards a greener and more accessible urban environment.
