DC Chiniot Leads Anti-Dengue Efforts

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chiniot, Muhammad Asif Raza, has taken a proactive stance in combating the threat of dengue fever in the district. In a recent meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee for Anti-Dengue, DC Raza emphasized the urgency of ramping up efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.

During the meeting, it was made clear that any fraudulent activities related to dengue prevention would not be tolerated. The directive issued by DC Raza included the regular inspection of various locations prone to dengue breeding, such as parks, nurseries, construction sites, and event venues. Moreover, there was a call for increased coordination and regular meetings of the Tehsil Emergency Response Committee to ensure a swift response to any potential outbreaks.

DC Raza highlighted the significance of thorough indoor surveillance and educating households on the importance of maintaining clean environments to prevent dengue breeding grounds. District Health Officer, Dr. Shehzad Khalil, provided insights into the strategies being implemented to combat the spread of dengue in the district.
