More than a year after the violent riots that shook the nation on May 9, the military leadership reiterated its demand for justice against those responsible for planning, executing, supporting, and facilitating the riots. At the 83rd Formation Commanders Conference held at the General Headquarters, the commanders stressed the importance of swiftly bringing the culprits to justice to maintain stability in the country. Transparent dispensation of justice and upholding the rule of law were highlighted as crucial to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir led the forum in discussing various issues, including politically motivated digital terrorism and misinformation aimed at creating discord. The military condemned such actions by external forces and expressed confidence in overcoming their malicious intentions.

The forum also addressed national security challenges, strategies to counter threats, and concerns over cross-border violations from Afghanistan. Emphasis was placed on promoting socio-economic development in Balochistan to counter external narratives and support peace and progress in the region.

Commending the troops for their performance in counter-terrorism operations, the military leadership acknowledged the sacrifices made in the war against terrorism. Solidarity was expressed with causes such as the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and the plight of minorities in India.

The conference reaffirmed the commitment to safeguarding the country's security and stability, honoring the sacrifices of martyrs dedicated to Pakistan's safety and sovereignty.
