The National Socio-Economic Registry survey by BISP in Sargodha and Pakistan aims to assist low-income groups with accurate data submission for targeted government support and subsidies.
The National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is currently conducting registration in Sargodha and other parts of Pakistan. The registration process, overseen by the tehsil offices of the programme, aims to assist low-income groups in accessing government support.
Deputy Director BISP Sargodha, Malik Mazhar Awan, emphasized the importance of accurate data submission during registration. Individuals are required to visit registration centres from Monday to Saturday, bringing their CNICs, B forms of their children, and utility bills for database updates. Awan warned that providing false information would disqualify individuals from program participation.
Furthermore, Awan encouraged not only the poor but also the middle and upper-middle class to participate in the survey. By compiling socioeconomic data, the government aims to provide targeted subsidies and support during emergencies based on individuals' needs.
The primary objective of the data compilation is not only to facilitate quarterly cash transfers but also to include vulnerable populations in various government subsidy initiatives. Awan assured that any complaints regarding the programme would be promptly addressed by the concerned office to ensure citizen satisfaction.
