DPO Asad Sarfraz Khan emphasizes strict adherence to security duties in Bahawalpur, ensuring public safety during significant religious events.
In recent developments, the District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Sarfraz Khan has issued a stern warning regarding the importance of security duties in Bahawalpur. Following directives from the Inspector General of Punjab Police, all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) have been reminded that any negligence in their security responsibilities will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This announcement comes at a time when ensuring public safety is of utmost importance, especially during significant religious gatherings such as Juma Prayers.
The DPO emphasized the need for SDPOs and SHOs to actively monitor their teams, particularly those assigned to security duties at Imambarghs. This proactive approach aims to reassure citizens that law enforcement is vigilant and committed to their safety. DPO Asad Sarfraz Khan stated, "If we remain alert, the miscreants will not be able to succeed in their nefarious designs. Negligence and carelessness in security duties will not be tolerated at all." This clear message underscores the police's role in maintaining order and protecting the community.
In addition to the focus on security, the DPO has also called for effective patrolling and enhanced security arrangements in all areas under the jurisdiction of the police. This comprehensive strategy is designed to deter criminal activities and foster a sense of safety among the public.
On a different note, the Special Secretary for Higher Education Southern Punjab, Sarfraz Ahmed, recently recognized the achievements of government colleges in Bahawalpur division. During a ceremony held at the Government Graduate College for Women on Dubai Mahal Road, commendation certificates were awarded to college heads for their outstanding first-year enrollment figures. This event highlighted the government's commitment to providing quality education and training to the youth, which is seen as a top priority.
During his address, the Special Secretary noted that the increasing enrollment in public colleges reflects the growing trust of the community in these educational institutions. He praised the academic performance of these colleges and emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in preparing students for future challenges. He urged teachers to dedicate their efforts to nurturing the youth, ensuring they become responsible and productive citizens.
The dual focus on security and education in Bahawalpur illustrates a comprehensive approach to community welfare. By prioritizing safety and quality education, local authorities are not only addressing immediate concerns but also investing in the future of the youth. This commitment to public safety and educational excellence is essential for fostering a secure and prosperous society.
