Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui unveils plans to extend Early Childhood Education project nationwide, focusing on enhancing early childhood development through specialized facilities and partnerships to ensure success.

The Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has unveiled plans to extend the Early Childhood Education project across the country. This initiative is designed to improve early childhood development through specialized facilities.

Highlighting the importance of early childhood education in nurturing social and intellectual growth, the minister inaugurated the first Early Childhood Education Center in Islamabad. Situated at Islamabad Model School, F-7/2, this center is equipped to stimulate children's development during their crucial early years.

The project, currently operational in urban schools, will soon reach 50 rural and 50 urban schools. These centers will boast dedicated washrooms and trained staff to effectively address the children's needs. The Ministry of Education and Professional Training has partnered with America Lycetuff DNK School System to ensure the success of this endeavor.

Early Childhood Education plays a pivotal role in learning, with the first six years of a child's life being particularly critical for development. Studies show that children absorb vast amounts of knowledge during this period, forming numerous neural connections every second.

The ECE Centers project, funded under the PSDP by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, focuses on recruiting trained Montessori teachers, providing essential equipment, and refurbishing classrooms. This initiative aligns with SDG-4 (Quality Education) and SDG-5 (Gender Equality) to deliver quality early childhood education to the residents of Islamabad Capital Territory.

By enhancing educational facilities and establishing a conducive learning environment for young children, the project aims to promote early childhood development and lay a solid foundation for their future learning and growth.
