Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasizes PEEF's commitment to education

Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, has reiterated the government's dedication to supporting deserving students from all provinces through the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF). In a recent meeting of the PEEF Board of Directors, Dr Siddiqui stressed the importance of effectively utilizing the funds to benefit students in need. He specifically pointed out the focus on underdeveloped districts, such as the slums of Karachi, as areas requiring attention to improve educational opportunities.

The Board of Directors has approved an annual budget of around Rs 1 billion for PEEF, demonstrating a significant financial commitment to supporting education. To enhance the organization's operational capacity, the decision to hire a full-time CEO was made, along with the implementation of a comprehensive Human Resource policy to ensure the recruitment of skilled personnel. Dr Siddiqui expressed confidence that PEEF will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive educational environment for disadvantaged communities, enabling all deserving students to access education regardless of their backgrounds.
