According to dietitian Michelle Routhenstein, red meat is a valuable source of essential nutrients such as protein, vitamins, iron, and zinc. These nutrients play vital roles in supporting muscle and bone health, brain function, immunity, and blood circulation. However, it is crucial to be mindful of the high saturated fat content in meat, which can contribute to elevated LDL cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart disease.
