Family Tragedy: 9 Children, 5 Adults Killed in Van Accident

In a heartbreaking incident in Khushab, a passenger van carrying 14 members of the same family met with a fatal accident, resulting in the deaths of nine children and five adults. The van, on its way from Bannu to Soon Valley for work, tragically plunged into a ditch on Panj Pir Manawan Road due to suspected brake failure.

Upon arrival at the scene, rescue teams swiftly provided medical aid to the victims. Unfortunately, all the casualties and injuries were sustained by individuals from the same family. The deceased include 14-year-old Ishaq, 14-year-old Omar, 45-year-old Rahim, 40-year-old Muhammad Khan, seven-year-old Aleesha, eight-year-old Ghazala, and five-year-old Gul Rahim. The identities of the other victims are pending confirmation.

Four individuals with minor injuries were treated on-site, while the eight critically injured were promptly taken to THQ Hospital Naushera for urgent medical care. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep condolences and sadness over the tragic event, extending prayers for the departed souls and a swift recovery for the injured.
