The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has cracked down on a major counterfeit diploma scam in Islamabad, leading to the arrest of individuals involved in running three unregistered educational institutions. The suspects were caught distributing fake technical diplomas in exchange for money, highlighting the rampant issue of fraudulent credentials in the country.

The FIA's Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad conducted a successful operation targeting the Modern Institute of Informatics, Johar Institute of Information Technology Islamabad, and International College of Education. The apprehended individuals, Zeeshan Zahid, Umar Farooq, and Ahsan Uddin, were taken into custody for their involvement in issuing bogus technical certificates.

These fraudulent institutes lured unsuspecting students through advertisements in newspapers and social media, promising them fake credentials. Upon raiding the premises, the FIA seized a significant amount of forged technical degrees, certificates, and equipment used for producing counterfeit documents, including fake seals, diploma stickers, and an embossing machine.

The FIA's efforts to combat this illegal activity are ongoing, with plans to apprehend other suspects connected to the fake diploma racket. The Director of Islamabad Zone praised the FIA team for their diligent work and reaffirmed the agency's commitment to eradicating fake and unauthorized educational institutions.

The crackdown on fake diplomas by the FIA serves as a warning to those involved in fraudulent educational practices. It underscores the importance of verifying the authenticity of educational institutions and credentials to protect students from falling victim to such scams. The public should remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities to ensure the integrity of the education system.
