The Capital Development Authority in Islamabad launches a post-Eid cleanliness campaign to ensure a hygienic environment. Citizens are urged to follow waste disposal guidelines for a cleaner city.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has initiated a comprehensive cleanliness campaign to remove sacrificial animal remains and waste generated during Eid-ul-Adha festivities. This campaign aims to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for the residents of Islamabad.

With a dedicated workforce of over 2,500 personnel and a fleet of 200 vehicles and machines, the CDA is actively engaged in cleaning every nook and corner of the city. Collaborating with Islamabad Administration and Islamabad Police, the CDA is conducting a special cleaning operation to minimize inconvenience and maintain cleanliness standards during the festival.

Special emphasis is placed on proper waste disposal, with the distribution of biodegradable bags to citizens for animal waste disposal. Citizens are urged to use designated areas for waste disposal and refrain from disposing of waste in drains, forests, or regular garbage bins. Violations of waste disposal guidelines will result in legal action.

For reporting sanitation issues or complaints, the public can contact the sanitation helpline numbers 1334 or 9213908, as well as 9203216, 9211555, or 9223171. Additionally, citizens can send messages via WhatsApp or SMS to 0335 5001213 for prompt resolution of complaints.

Chairman of CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, stressed the importance of citizen cooperation and adherence to cleanliness guidelines for the success of the campaign. He extended Eid greetings to all residents of Islamabad on behalf of the CDA, highlighting the significance of collective efforts in maintaining a clean and healthy city.

The CDA's cleanliness campaign underscores the commitment to public health and environmental sustainability. By working together and following proper waste disposal practices, residents can contribute to a cleaner and greener Islamabad for everyone to enjoy.
