Located at the Avari Towers Hotel in Karachi, Fujiyama, Pakistan's first Japanese restaurant, recently underwent extensive renovations to elevate its dining experience. Founded by the late Mr. Byram D. Avari in January 1987, Fujiyama reopened its doors on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr after being closed during the COVID lockdown.

The revamped restaurant, designed by Tariq Alexander Qaiser, pays homage to tradition while embracing creativity with elements like natural stone, marble, and real rosewood. The Consul General Masaru Hattori and other Japanese diplomats graced the special tasting event, celebrating the restaurant's return with a carefully curated menu of authentic Japanese dishes.

Head chef Carlito Magno, with experience from renowned Japanese restaurants like Benihana International and Zuma in Dubai, expressed his dedication to delivering a culinary journey that showcases Japanese cuisine's rich flavors and traditions. The event was attended by the Avari family, culinary enthusiasts, and notable personalities from the media and entertainment industry.

Guests were treated to a gastronomic experience featuring miso soup, prawn tempura, yakitori, assorted sushi, and more. The mains included chicken or beef teppanyaki with garlic rice, followed by a dessert of tempura ice cream, fresh fruits, and Japanese green tea.

Fujiyama's commitment to excellence and innovation promises a dining experience that tells a story of authenticity and passion. The restaurant's new look, combined with its dedication to Japanese culinary artistry, ensures a memorable experience for all guests.
