Health Ministers and JICA Delegation Discuss Children's Hospital Development

Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir, accompanied by Health Secretary Punjab Ali Jan Khan and Additional Technical Secretary Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif, recently held a meeting with the JICA Pakistan delegation at PMU. The administration of Children’s Hospital Multan was also present during the productive discussion.

The main focus of the meeting was on the proposed development of a four-storey complex at Children’s Hospital Multan. The JICA Pakistan delegation commended the improvement plans presented by the Health Department, showing their support for the project.

Expressing gratitude, Khawaja Salman Rafique thanked the JICA Pakistan delegation for their willingness to cooperate in constructing the complex at Children’s Hospital Multan. Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir revealed the upcoming commencement of construction next year, with the goal of enhancing the hospital's capacity and operational efficiency.

Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan highlighted ongoing negotiations with JICA Pakistan, with a follow-up meeting scheduled for the following week. The envisioned complex at Children’s Hospital Multan aims to offer crucial diagnostic, radiology, and treatment facilities for patients in need.

The collaborative efforts between the Punjab Health Department and JICA Pakistan signify a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services at Children’s Hospital Multan.
