The Flight Calibration and Flight Procedure Design for the upcoming New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) achieved a significant milestone as the Calibration Aircraft completed a successful test landing on the newly constructed runway. This accomplishment marks a crucial step forward in the airport's development, signaling progress towards its scheduled completion and operational status by the end of this year.

The successful test landing was met with a traditional water cannon salute by the Rescue and Fire Fighting Services Department of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), highlighting the collaborative efforts of the Chinese and Pakistani project teams involved in the airport's construction. Led by Mr. Ding Kan PD-CACC, the Chinese Project Team has been instrumental in advancing the NGIAP project to its current stage, while the Pakistani project team, under the leadership of Director General Airport Services Sadiq Ur Rehman, has also made significant contributions.

Acknowledgment is also extended to the officials of the PCAA, as well as the Technical Directorates of PCAA and the Flight Inspection Unit (FIU), for their vital roles in achieving this milestone within a relatively short timeframe.

With the successful test landing at NGIAP, the airport project is well on its way to becoming a key infrastructure asset that will not only boost regional connectivity but also stimulate economic growth and development in the area. The collaborative efforts of the Chinese and Pakistani teams, combined with the support of the PCAA and other key stakeholders, have paved the way for a promising future for Gwadar and its residents.
