IGP Akhtar Hayat Khan Empowers Women Police Officers

The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Khan, has shown unwavering dedication to enhancing the capacity and working conditions of women police officers in the region. Recognizing the pivotal role that women play in society, IGP Khan has prioritized gender equality within the police force.

Recently, a significant step was taken towards this goal with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art hostel for lady police officers at the Police Training Centre Peshawar. This hostel, equipped with modern facilities, aims to provide a conducive environment for the training of 128 lady police officers.

During the event, attended by senior police officials including Additional IG Police Training Saqib Ismail Memon and AIG (Gender) Anila Naz, IGP Khan underscored the importance of gender equality and lauded the contributions of women police officers in combating terrorism.

IGP Khan's commitment to supporting women in the police force was evident as he assured measures to address the professional challenges faced by lady police officers. He participated in a tree plantation campaign at the Shah Kas Police Training Centre, further emphasizing the importance of environmental sustainability.
