This initiative is in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's vision of a Drug-Free Punjab, aiming to support individuals in their journey towards recovery and reintegration into society.

During the ceremony, Commissioner Marryam Khan commended the dedication and hard work of the individuals who had completed treatment and technical training courses at a drug rehabilitation center. These individuals are now equipped with valuable skills that will enable them to pursue sustainable employment opportunities and lead fulfilling lives.

The event celebrated the achievements of seven individuals who completed training in the electrician field and six in tailoring. Those who excelled in the tailoring program not only received job offers but also sewing machines to support their entrepreneurial endeavors. Commissioner Marryam Khan emphasized the profound impact of drug abuse on families and communities, highlighting the importance of rehabilitation efforts in promoting a healthier and drug-free environment.

Through strategic partnerships with TEVTA, Mahmood Group, and FDO, the rehabilitated individuals were connected with employment opportunities that match their skill sets. The collaborative efforts of the Social Welfare Rehabilitation Center team were instrumental in facilitating this transition and providing ongoing support to the beneficiaries.

In their expressions of gratitude, the recipients shared how learning trades like tailoring and driving has instilled hope for a brighter future. By acquiring new skills and securing job placements, these individuals have not only overcome addiction but also regained confidence and optimism for what lies ahead.

Commissioner Marryam Khan's initiative exemplifies the transformative power of rehabilitation and skills training in empowering individuals to break free from the cycle of drug abuse. By investing in education and vocational training, communities can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for those seeking to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society.
