Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directs NADRA to enhance security measures by blocking invalid/expired SIMs and establishing model offices. The focus is on modernization, cybersecurity, and efficient service delivery.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken a significant step towards enhancing security measures by instructing the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) to block all mobile phone SIMs issued on invalid and expired identity cards. During his visit to the NADRA headquarters in Islamabad, Naqvi emphasized the importance of ensuring the authenticity of identity documents to prevent misuse.

Naqvi's directive also includes the establishment of model NADRA offices nationwide, aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing public convenience. By setting up these model offices, the government aims to streamline processes related to identity verification and registration.

Furthermore, Naqvi highlighted the need to address issues related to birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates by introducing a more efficient system in collaboration with Union Council offices. He stressed the importance of safeguarding citizens' data and providing enhanced facilities through mobile platforms.

Recognizing the efforts of NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, Naqvi commended the institution for its public-friendly approach and efficient civil registration services. The Interior Minister also emphasized the use of social media to promote NADRA's initiatives and reach a wider audience.

During a meeting at the NADRA headquarters, Naqvi was briefed on the organization's strategic plan, which includes upgrading technology and infrastructure to facilitate online registration services. The roadmap also outlines initiatives such as setting up self-service kiosks at registration centers, extending service hours, and providing mobile registration options.

With a focus on enhancing cybersecurity measures, NADRA aims to implement a modern security architecture and improve employee awareness through cyber security audits. These efforts align with the goal of achieving 100 percent registration of citizens and providing efficient services to Pakistanis living abroad.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's directives to NADRA reflect the government's commitment to enhancing security measures and improving public service delivery. By leveraging technology and modernizing registration processes, NADRA aims to provide citizens with convenient and secure access to essential services.
