Karachi faces earthquake series, raises safety concerns

Recently, Karachi has experienced a series of earthquakes, with the latest being a 2.3 magnitude tremor that struck various areas of the city. The seismic center reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 84 kilometers and was felt in Kathore, Gadap, and Malir in Karachi at 5:52 pm. This event follows a 3.1 magnitude earthquake that hit the same district of Karachi just last week, causing tremors in Malir, Landhi, Quaidabad, Kathore, and Gadap Town.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre confirmed that the epicenter of the latest earthquake was in New Malir Karachi, with a depth of 12km. These seismic activities have raised concerns among residents, highlighting the importance of preparedness and awareness regarding earthquake safety measures.
