Karachi recently experienced minor earthquakes with no reported damages. Stay informed and prepared for seismic activity in the region.

Recently, Karachi, a bustling port city in southern Pakistan, experienced a 3.2 magnitude earthquake. The epicenter of this quake was situated 15km northeast of Karachi, with a depth of 22 kilometers. The tremors were felt in several areas, including Landhi, Korangi, Clifton, DHA phase II, Old City area, and II Changrigarh Road. Fortunately, no damages have been reported following this seismic event.

Earlier in April, a similar incident occurred when a 3.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Malir district of Karachi. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) verified that the tremors were felt in Malir, Landhi, Quaidabad, Kathore, and Gadap Town. The epicenter of this earthquake was identified in New Malir Karachi, with a depth of 12km.

While these earthquakes may have caused some concern, it is essential for residents to stay informed and prepared for such natural occurrences. Karachi, like many other regions, is prone to seismic activity, and being aware of safety measures can help mitigate potential risks. Remember, staying calm and following safety protocols during earthquakes is crucial for ensuring the well-being of everyone.
