Minister of Social Welfare visits ANF headquarters to discuss narcotics control, commends ANF's service, and highlights critical need for drug addiction facilities in the region.

In a recent development, the Minister of Social Welfare, Mir Tariq Ali Talpur, along with Secretary Sajid Jamal Abro and DG Nisar Shaikh, visited the ANF headquarters in Karachi to discuss narcotics control. They met with Brig Umar Farooq, Regional Director of ANF Sindh, to address the pressing issue. Following this meeting, the delegation proceeded to the Benazeer Shaheed ANF Model Addiction Treatment Rehabilitation and Reintegration Center in Malir.

At the center, Project Director Lt. Col. (R) Parvez Hussain provided an overview of the hospital's project. The Minister commended the ANF for its significant efforts and service to the community, expressing a desire to enhance the hospital's capacity in central Sindh. During the visit, 93 drug addict patients were admitted to the center, highlighting the critical need for such facilities in the region.

This visit underscores the government's commitment to combating drug addiction and supporting rehabilitation initiatives. The collaboration between the Ministry of Social Welfare and ANF signifies a proactive approach towards addressing societal challenges and promoting a healthier, drug-free environment.
