Federal Minister Tarar introduces measures to combat power theft, enhance border security, and address developmental challenges in tribal areas, emphasizing government commitment to progress and stability.

The Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Azam Nazeer Tarar, recently unveiled a new uniform policy aimed at tackling power theft across the country. This initiative, announced during a session in the National Assembly, includes measures such as increased load shedding on feeders with high levels of power pilferage to address the persistent issue of circular debt. The government's ongoing efforts against power theft have already resulted in the recovery of substantial sums of money.

In addition to the anti-power theft policy, significant progress has been made in bolstering border management at Chaman through the implementation of innovative mechanisms. Minister Tarar reiterated the government's unwavering commitment to resolving challenges at the Chaman border and underscored the crucial role of elected representatives in championing public concerns within the parliamentary setting.

Furthermore, the government has prioritized addressing obstacles in the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Noteworthy funds have been allocated to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) for the purpose of developing regions that have been adversely affected by terrorism, recognizing the sacrifices made by the inhabitants of these areas.

Former Speaker Asad Qaiser highlighted the significance of tax exemptions granted to PATA and FATA to expedite progress in these regions. He proposed the establishment of a specialized committee comprising representatives from all political parties to tackle the unique challenges faced by these territories. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding load shedding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, urging the federal government to take prompt action to address this pressing issue.

The government's proactive stance on combating power theft, enhancing border management, and addressing developmental challenges in tribal areas underscores its commitment to fostering progress and stability across the nation. By implementing targeted policies and engaging in constructive dialogue, the authorities aim to create a more resilient and prosperous future for all citizens.
