Minister Toru Announces Purchase of Local Wheat

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Zahir Shah Toru, inspected the Azakhel Wheat Godown in Nowshera accompanied by Secretary Food Department Zarif-ul-Muani and other officials. The visit aimed to review the wheat procurement process and storage measures in place.

During the visit, Minister Toru announced the provincial cabinet's decision to purchase 600,000 metric tons of local wheat at a rate of Rs3,900 per 40 kilograms. This move aligns with rates set by the federal, Punjab, and Balochistan governments, ensuring consistency across regions.
