The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) launches the Pre-Service National Faculty Development Programme in Peshawar to train PhD holders for teaching roles, emphasizing the importance of capacity building and innovation in higher education.
The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), operating under the Higher Education Commission (HEC), has initiated the Cohort-I, Batch-V of the Pre-Service National Faculty Development Programme (NFDP-2023-24) in Peshawar. This program is designed to train and certify recently graduated PhD holders for their teaching roles in higher education institutions. It focuses on equipping them with essential techniques and skills to improve their teaching practices.
The opening ceremony of the program was graced by Muhammad Faisal Butt, the Director General of NAHE, who warmly welcomed the newly selected Batch V Cohort I IPFP Fellows. He urged the fellows to utilize the program effectively to prepare for their upcoming responsibilities. Butt highlighted the program's importance in advancing higher education in Pakistan. The previous batch witnessed the successful certification of 271 IPFP fellows, with many securing job placements.
