The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts rain, wind, and thunderstorms in upper regions, with rising temperatures and safety precautions advised for residents.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave is currently affecting the upper parts of Pakistan, leading to the likelihood of light to moderate rains in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other areas.

On Thursday evening and night, residents can expect rain, wind, and thunderstorms in isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the Pothohar region. The weather conditions are expected to persist for the next 36 hours.

Friday will bring mainly dry weather to most parts of the country, with hot temperatures in the southern regions. However, isolated areas in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby hilly areas may experience light rain, wind, and thunderstorms.

Forecasted maximum temperatures for Friday include 29-31 degrees Celsius in Islamabad and 28-30 degrees Celsius in Rawalpindi. Saturday is expected to be slightly warmer with temperatures reaching 30-32 degrees Celsius in both cities.

Recent weather data shows that rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred in isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Pothohar region. Notably, Nawabshah recorded the highest temperature in the country at 40 degrees Celsius, while Islamabad and Rawalpindi experienced maximum temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius.

As the weather pattern continues to evolve, residents are advised to stay updated on the latest forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being.
