PM Shehbaz Sharif highlights CPEC-II significance in China meeting

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the significance of the second phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC-II) during a meeting with a delegation from the Chinese International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA). He highlighted the potential for private sector collaboration between China and Pakistan through joint ventures under CPEC-II. The Prime Minister praised the positive impact of CPEC on Pakistan's socio-economic development and the mutual prosperity of both nations.

PM Sharif expressed optimism that CPEC-II would lead to further advancements in industrial, scientific, and environmentally friendly initiatives within Pakistan. The meeting witnessed the signing of several key agreements, including those focusing on flood rehabilitation, information technology, Juncao Technology, and a development cooperation plan for 2024-2028.
