An Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has ordered PTI leader Amir Mughal to be sent to jail in connection with a case filed against him under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). The court decision came after Mughal appeared before ATC Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain, who placed him in judicial remand for 14 days, rejecting the police's request for physical remand.

The prosecution sought physical remand to investigate further and recover an iron rod allegedly in Mughal's possession. The accusation against Mughal involved an attempt to attack the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and police during an operation at the PTI's central office. However, the court dismissed the police's request for physical remand and ordered Mughal to be sent to jail.

The case against Mughal was registered at the Karachi Company police station under various sections of the law, including the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Pakistan Penal Code. The FIR stated that Mughal, along with a group of individuals, attacked police and CDA officials with an iron rod during a CDA operation. Despite attempting to flee, Mughal was apprehended by the police while others managed to escape.

The decision to send PTI leader Amir Mughal to jail in connection with the Anti-Terrorism Act case highlights the seriousness of the allegations against him. The court's ruling underscores the importance of upholding the law and ensuring accountability for actions that threaten public safety and security.
