Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar faces a police raid at his residence in Islamabad, raising concerns about treatment of political figures and their pets. Azhar resurfaces after a year in hiding following Imran Khan's directive.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister Hammad Azhar recently encountered a police raid at his residence in Islamabad. The incident took place late at night when only his elderly parents were at home. During the operation, two of Azhar's employees were apprehended, and his beloved pet dog, a black German shepherd named Sam, was allegedly taken by the police.

Azhar had been in hiding since the riots on May 9, 2023, but he resurfaced publicly at PTI's central secretariat in Islamabad after a year-long absence. His return was spurred by a directive from PTI founder Imran Khan for party officials in hiding to resume their political engagements.

Recalling the raid, Azhar recounted that the police conducted the operation at 2 am, subjected his employees to violence, and left two of them stranded in the middle of a road. Additionally, they seized his pet dog, Sam, who is still in their custody.

The recent police raid at Hammad Azhar's residence has raised concerns about the treatment of individuals associated with political figures. The confiscation of his pet dog, Sam, has also sparked outrage among animal lovers. This incident sheds light on the challenges faced by public figures and the importance of upholding the rights of all individuals, including their pets.
